English is a mix of latin and germanic languages, that is why it has so many words and so many spelling vs. pronounciation differences.

Given that just about every man and his dog have conquered the British Isles at one time or another I suppose it is no suprise it is a mongrel language.
Consider "ough" pronunciations. "It is tough getting to the trough, though, so I bought my own lunch."
Perhaps all the original "english" now live in Wales and speak Gaelic.

The song was entertained but I wonder how many life did the guy who wrote that lyric had... I mean.. come on dont you have something better to do in your life than writting such lyrics for a website? pff...
Some lyrics, they get them from the authors of the songs (like the cd books, some includes the lyrics) still they have to copy them...
I'd like to tell them GET A LIFE FREAK!!! but then, I often go to those sites to check some lyrics
