The caching is better on these forums, e.g. the logo at the top left returns a 304 not modified and so isn't downloaded each refresh.

it was kind of slow before, but it's REALLY slow now, and i have a broadband connection.

and the pop-ups are 100 times worse than yahoo

Firefox will loads again and again ... And it seems that there are a lot of Pop-ups (but i have a blocker).
but Quick Reply is nice...
And the speed hasn't change, it was normal and it is now again normal.

firefox 0.92 and 1.0 no popups here, only aingle add on the bottom

as far as yahoo-groups is concerned, there are no pop-up (not exactly), but for example, you click on some message, you get an add instead of the message, which is the reason i don't frequent yahoo-groups very often.

Tried the site with IE 6 & FireFox 1.0.. No Popups..

while ie will block most pop-ups, it is still very anoying

as you constantly
hear the blocker blip.

Well I have IE6 pre XP SP2.. So that should mean no blocker.. or???!
Oops... FireFox just stopped a popup as I type this.... link is zedo.com......
EDIT: And here they come in IE also..

Fast for me and no pop-ups (the pop-up blocker doesn't have anything to do). Can the pop-ups be regional?

i just tried with ie: it takes AGES to load, but no popups..
It is probaly adware!
Solution: Get Adaware, SpyBotS&D, Microsoft antispam and a trial of SpyDoctor.
Scan your system!
