compiler issue

Post by nhokem »

i go away for a few days and BOOM a new update! :)

might not be the best place to post this but:

quick question to those that have installed 391b2 and use jaPBe (and have installed PB to C:\Program Files\Purebasic\), are you able to link an icon to your compiled exe?

also, has anyone been able to get the PBZip library working with it?

i went back to 3.90sp1 (from 391b1) since i was unable to get either of these issues resolved. (actually, the icon issue can be resolved simply by installing pb into a path WITHOUT spaces, and i was able to write up my own routines for zipping, but prefer notandor/spangly's lib since i need to attach a DLL with my version).

thanks much!

Fred wrote:Hi there,

The new beta for windows is available on your personnal account. It includes all the last bug fixes and several little enhancement over the beta 1 : WindowMouseX/Y() now acts with window client area and the IDE has a new option 'Main source file' to ease the programming with multiple files. Please test it as much as you can, as it will be probably the last version before the final release. Work on the doc has started

Enjoy,

Fred.
Does this release have the new porc dll/exe, or do we need to update
manually?

compiler issue checked

Post by nhokem »

I found the time to test my previous two issues (icon+exe with jaPBe, and PBZip lib) and they are both still there.

Guess I'll move my PB install to C:\PureBasic, then upgrade to 391b2 (I just hate to be left behind... ).

I'll also have to rewrite my app to use my zipping code, but at least that'll give me more practice coding in PB... :D

I don't see any option for making a file the "primary" file...
