I seem to have missed the IDE crash on ubuntu 11.10. Anyway, we plan to release a 4.61 somewhen quickly. As a workaround, you can try to use the IDE from the 4.51 package, it should work as the compiler communication protocol is backward compatiable. Sorry the for hassle.

You mean: "some
time quickly". No offense intended.

Thanks, this seems to work for now.
Still not considering a bug tracking system?
Cheers!

Yes this can help but the IDE from the 4.51 is also unstable but it's more stable than the 4.61 which is a real nightmare.
By the way, the WebGadget() don't work in Linux Mint 11 x64.
Best regards.

Hello Fred,
Congratulations to the 4.6 version!
As the recent versions progress with their features the form designer is no longer at the state of the art. I hope you are concious about this and change it in the near future.

Or even "somewhat quickly" ... though "quickly" is subjective these days ...
For me, the canvas widget is the real gem and I plan on trying it out soon ... thanks guys!

I miss the days of the utility to download patches as Fred fixed them ... I guess it got to be too much to manage, but was handy for quick fixes.

I think it was skipped because of the wanted higher fequence between updates.
But who knows, maybe it will go on faster now
... thanks for this second step to a usable 3D-Engine.

the first step was the v4.30 if some one remember, and since that
version i have my grame project. With this update i'm getting a few more
imported features like alpha-blending for on runtime created materials,
fading in and out of objects and accessing in scripts defined materials.
The final is not bugfree there ... but i hope i will find workarounds till
the bug fix version.
So now the big surprise? A 4.61 with all remaining 3D-Engine bugfixes?
Ok Ok ... it is enough to get the big bugs fixed
The Sound-3D-Lib and the CEGUI-Stuff, please.
Waiting for Christmas.
All good things are three.
