Not sure if this is "off topic" or not, but since it's tools related. I'll post here.

http://clipguru.com

I'm always looking around for tools and came across this a few days back. Not sure how it compares to all the others (the author admits it's not Clipmate), but since the only clipboard program I saw mentioned in this thread was hamsin I thought I'd mention this one, especially since it's apparently written in PureBasic.

It seems OK so far, but I have only been using it a few days and according the the site, it's still in beta.

Looks like it's windows only too. Nothing to get too excited about. I'm just mentioning 'cause it appears to be PureBasic. So far, it seems decent to me. I have encountered a bug, which was fixed after I notified support. He (or she) is right, it is still beta.

Just don't blame me if you lose all your data

Nice one, oldBear. It is really good and inspiring to see it is written in PureBasic and gives credit to Pure and the community!

To download YouTube/Google/MetaCafe etc, videos and images from the web use this firefox extension:

https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/3006/

Then to convert these flash (or any) type of video to any other type of video including DVD VOB, MPG, AVI, etc use this tool:

Super

For those of you who have a frustrating time converting video types, this is the best tool I have come across so far.

I like WinSnap :)
Pity that it is not able to save TIFF images with a transparent color.
Irfanview does it but only for .ICO and .PNG.
I dont want to have installed any Adobe product only to do that. Does someboy know how i can save tiff images with transparent color with some simple program?

You could write one.. ;) You could make a command line version, then
it would be quick to make a windows version.

Thanks for the freeware links everyone.

Also, you all should know that DAZ is now giving away BRYCE 5 free for a limited time.

I do not know the link but the software is the full version of 5 and the offer ends shortly.

Enjoy It.

I used RoboForm myself, but after a week I found out the limitation. You can only have 100 passcards on the freeversion, so I stopped using it. Now I use KeyPass opensource.

100? Used to be only 35 or 50, either way its free if you don't need that many passcards, I found it too useful in so many ways that I bought the Pro version before I maxed out the free one. :)

Yeah I'm pretty sure it was 100.
Anyways, been thinking about buying it myself, never got that far. It is a really good program, no doubt about that :)

Yup, even though there are probably free programs similar to it, I've never regretted buying the Pro version. Interesting marketing trick though... They give away the free version knowing that eventually you'll max it out and by then you'll be so used to it, that it'll be a "no-brainer" to buy the Pro version when you need to....

There is another web site that has a bunch of various utilities that are all free and all writen by the web site owner, but can't for the life of me, remember the name or URL to the site. The only things I can remember is that he had an orphaned DLL finder, a search engine submitter, some network/internet related utilities, and because he's a musician, some music utilities too. I can't even find the files I downloaded from his site years ago... :(

Yeah that is pretty slick marketing.
Others might have given 10 free entries, or even 20, but a 100 is so much that you don't think about it as a limitation, you just use it, till one day you see that is actually has a limitation.

Right now I'm using Google Sync, so I really don't need to remember my passwords hehehe.
