@Paul, no one here is slandering you, if you have thin skin weare it, and have the decency to aknowledge your mistakes, and who is going to pay for the lawyer?
your misguided followers? because we know you don't have money, right?
[edit]
Paul, be carefull, because you know if Tom Hanlin wanted to he could sue you for selling EBasic which is but a slightly modified Ibasic Pro.

Conspiracy theories are fun...
...as long as everyone remember that they are just that, unproven theories...

for people that don't know, Paul has some Lawyer threatining Fred with slander because of this thread, and he wants it removed.
and Brice Manuel is suggesting even more legal actions against Fred, <BAN BriceManuel from this forum please>
and I will persue contacting Tom Hanlin and see if we can't sue the pants off of Paul.

I can think of more needy charities
Slander has to be false though
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slander
Besides, if fred has to delete this thread then I don't think it's a huge blow to sum of human knowledge.
If it makes it easier for him legally then I guess it's not such a big deal.

For monetary loss? Tom lost all interest in Pyxia only a couple months after buying it. He also took money from people without sending the product (in this case the Gold CD.) I really don't think he would have the slightest interest and if he did he may be stirring a pot he doesn't want stirred. Your choice, though.

I would very much like to see Paul try! One, he can't afford it, second, he's in a different country and third, he doesn't speak French, so he'll have to employ an interpreter if Fred bothers to reply (more money oh no!). He hasn't the slightest chance!
Like i've said before, The truth hurts! Paul is obviously realising people are waking up to his pityful and undignified and probably illegal begging.
EDIT: i now notice that Paul reckons he has a job? I wonder if he is going to dig into his pockets and pay the people back who supported him? i seriously wouldn't bet on it.

It'll probably be: "I need money for a lawyer to sue purebasic for defamation, I need $1500 for consultancy and that's just 100 people donating $15 each! If we win then I'll have enough money to work on the compilers full time. If I don't do this then their evil slander will put me out of busines and I won't be able to support everyone"
I can't reach their page to find out how the the dog drama is unfolding anymore so I'll just have to use my imagination based on what I've seen so far

Wikipedia wrote:The common law origins of defamation lie in the torts of slander (harmful statement in a transitory form, especially speech) and libel (harmful statement in a fixed medium, especially writing but also a picture, sign, or electronic broadcast
I think (if it weren't true) it would be LIBEL, not SLANDER

well, for now one, i think its enough.
I don't care about that aurora (its a name for flour in germany )
or ever that ibasic-clone which extend its i with an e .
i don't want to close this topic now
(i love liberty and freedom speech more than all those PowerBasic&Ebasic-moderators),
but its turn into a personal flamewar .
[Rings did a joke]
Personaly, i would offer every ie-basic user an upgrade to
Purebasic for just US$ 99 + $15 for my cat
(and perhaps + $25 for a new Wii-remote-control).
[/Rings_joking]
So i think its time for
closing this topic then.
