Everyone on the PB forum, I think.

Paul had his PB-Directory in %TEMP% or %TMP% ??
Hope El_Choni creates temp files where they belong
and not in the PB dir...

Could you also make it install Linux ?
I did a similar thing years back when Win95 first came out. I did a small script to clear all the rubbish out of the temp dir...it worked too well and deleted all of Windows

I'm not a Linux guru, I just want my app to deinstall everything but command.com and give it the power it deserves XD
@Danilo: well, only one file is put in the temp dir. The problem is that lcclib is a bit picky about dirs, so I put the temp files in TailBite dir/TBTemp to avoid moving the src all around the hd.
But I still don't know what happened in Paul's case. It's really a mistery for me. After that, I've included checks for every file handling part, and I think I've managed to make it so safe that, if some important file is deleted, it's because you wanted (you didn't like it or something).
Anyway, if something bad happens, my plan is to blame it on somebody else, like you, Freak or Fred, what do you suggest XD?

That must be the problem. On NT systems you dont have
command.com, so nothing is left.
You still using Win89 ??
El_Choni wrote:The problem is that lcclib is a bit picky about dirs,
I see. Did you license lcclib from Jacob Navia, or has Fred bought
a license and its included in PureBasic from now on ??
Maybe you say the users have to install LCCwin32 before using your tool.
Do users of your tool have to buy a commercial license of
LCCwin32 then ??
Its possible to use the generated lib for writing commercial stuff
with PB and the lib, so i´m interested how you managed the
licensing issue if you use LCCwin32 tools. LCCwin32 isnt freeware.

Put the blame on Fred, he's used to that...

You scare me. I thought lcclib was included with PB? Anyway, I don't think any license forbids you to connect to a program. But I'll check lcclib's license to see what legal stuff I have to include in the help file (the same for fasm).
Thanks,

I can't wait for your tool, but not the one which erase the hard drive

I licensed all the LccWin32 binary so it's not an issue. LccLib.exe is included in the PureBasic package, so anyone can use it (but not redistribute it).

Don't want to look impatient, but ... Is your software finished now ? It would be really useful for me, I can't wait

.
If you want someone to test, I'm here.

It won't be finished before mid-January. I haven't been able to make PureBasic work in my bro's computer due to some files missing or something else I'm not able to fix.
You can download a beta without help file:
http://www.terra.es/personal5/temporald ... taller.exe
It won't erase your harddrive, but I think you should wait for the final version, some problems must be fixed yet (array handling and some other).

It seem to be a big problem.
By following the given link i would be asked to install a Browserplugin.
My AV alerts me that this plugin contains the "TrojanDownloader.Win32.IstBar.s" Virus.
