Didn't someone have a running forum thread that contained links to other forum threads where people repeatedly posed the question "Is PureBasic dead?" or statement "PureBasic is dead"?

I looked for it but couldn't find it. I wanted to add to it a link to this forum thread.

PureBasic is definitely alive.

Fixed that for you by adding a word in bold. Browser-based apps are NEVER as fast as a native executable, and never can be.

And likewise: I work for a large organization that blocks and doesn't let me run browser-based apps unless they're white-listed. So, the same problem.

No, just from someone who has been using PB for 15 years, loves it, and thinks seriously about it.

Purebasisc HAS. A dialecct running in browser, its called SpiderBasic... So purebasic is BETTER than c/c++

If someone wants a web application from me, I'm more likely to code it with PHP/MySQL and Bootstrap/jQuery. I wouldn't mess around with Spiderbasic for that...

Its too early ro speak for these but always keep in lind that you can write your own plugin/pb lib , that woll do that
These are very specific tools in a very early trend.
Soon or later tou start see more and more in pb too

Of course, you can already access the AI tools via API from PB. But then the user really wonders: why should I install an .exe and update it every X days? Instead of an app for my smartphone or a website?

Basically, I still think PB is awesome, I just don't have as many uses for it as I do for my websites.

So far, I've mostly only programmed “small” tools that automate workflows.
