I don't know where you got that info, the C backend is an additional backend on Windows. The default one is still asm and of course it's maintained..Kwai chang caine wrote: Fri Aug 09, 2024 9:47 pmWhat !!!I'm still using the asm backend with PB 6.12 beta 2![]()
It's possible to use the ASM backend after the 5.73 ???
You whant to say, you use just the IDE of the v6.12 with the old v5.73 ASM backend ? or i have again nothing understood and FRED continue to update the ASM backend in the v6 versions ????

You learning to me something more, again a timeMaster Infratec wrote:The default is still the asm backend.
I don't know why, but I was convinced that for ASM it was over with 5.73, so I'm going to upgrade to v6 which still has, besides the backend, a few more interesting functions
Then when i think... it's really cool, since the V6 we van have a ASM and C translating for the same price ....
Because, even if I don't understand anything, I also loved this ASM and I was proud to know he was there to "protect my back"
Again thanks for all
You have right...I am ashamedSupreme FREDMASTER wrote:I don't know where you got that info
when I think that for all this time I've been looking at V6 from afar, telling myself that I'd change when I really had to.
I must have seen that there were two Backends when I tried it the first time, but I told myself that if you did that, it was to get rid of the ASM work as quickly as possible and that from the following versions, it would disappear like ASCII did
So with each new interesting function, like FTPS for example that I've been waiting for a very long time, I said to myself: "Great, that will give me one more good reason to change to V6!!!" and I waited for the balance in the bidet that serves as my head to definitely tip over to V6.
Once again you amaze me...and I disappoint myself...how do you want me not to worship you more and more, given the gulf that separates our behaviors
Again and again thank you for everything
PS=The only positive point of this story is that I would have had the honor of having a chat (French expression) with you for a few seconds...and almost without getting yelled at...
Our relationships are improving like good wine over several decades of "together"..the road is still long for the birth of a great and eternal friendship..but we must never say fountain (French expression again)
