The moral of the story is:
there's a small bug in ButtonGadget's Help

I just panicked because ⌘TAB wasn't working (PB was frontmost app)…
I now think that probably yesterday I was having IDE "keyboard hijacking" problems…

So, if you are testing something with shortcuts, don't despair in case of weirdness happening; retry after restarting PB!

It SEEMS to behave much better after disabling PB "input monitoring" on Monterey security prefs
I had activated input monitoring some time ago, while testing a "global shortcut" PB "systray" app

Hope this may help find the cause of the annoying "shortcuts / keyboard hijacking" Mac IDE bug
