The Win 10 updates didn't help, and "animdesk.exe" just shows a dark screen with "This video is unavailable" on it. I can't win. Don't worry about it.

Maybe try downloading this demo and initializing the animated wallpaper and see if that works. I'm just curious if your system is blocking something.

[Edit] Wait! This screensaver needs to be run as admin, so when I run idle's code in this topic as admin it also works now! Why didn't anyone say it needs admin rights? Argh! Does nobody here run their PCs with limited user rights like me?

Poor Barry is pulling his hair out because nobody had the courtesy to say it needed to be run as admin.

I thought "user level thing" was said in the context of "problem exists between keyboard and chair", like literally the user (me) being the problem.

Nope. Along with Windows 10, I also still use Windows 7 and XP. I just don't go to any strange websites nor download anything unless I feel like I trust it. I feel like the whole your system is outdated is such a scam. Never have any issues. No matter what OS or browser you use, just be smart and you will be fine.

You jump to a wrong conclusion. It certainly works here on all machines without admin rights.
