You have take the old version (i removed it, because my HP has only 10 MB; but its free, without ads and i had never any problems, that the server is not reachable...)

I found a bug in the Advanced Compiler Options: It works only one time. I forget a closefile(), so the log-file of resource hacker is then protected and so resource hacker can't open it -> he doesn't make anything. Even when you close japbe, the file is protected, you must restart windows.

Fixed for the next version.

The app crashes at launch...
I have just copied :
Definitions
language
plugin
style
tools
jaPBe.exe

in PB directory (original Tools file has been renamed)
Am I wrong ?

You need SciLexer.dll.
Install http://caosandkin.bei.t-online.de/pureb ... .3.7.8.zip
Then update with http://caosandkin.bei.t-online.de/pureb ... update.zip
This should work.

You don't need to copy jaPBe in the PB-Directory (and yes i don't test it).

So try to start jaPBe from an other directory.

@gnozal
I think that he downloaded 1.3.7.8, because otherwise he hasn't a Definitions, lanugage, plugin and style Directory.

v1.3.7.8 crashes on my computer (XP) while "Load[ing] PureBasic Functions (nn)" (nn differs from 60-80).
Anyone else experienced that problem?

There any error-messages or does the editor only hangs? Is the editor maximized?
Have you tried to delete the "japbe.pref" and test, what happend then.

p.s.: nn is the time in milliseconds.

Hi!

- There are no error messages, the editor simply crashes and I get an "Memory could not be read"-error by XP

- The editor isnÂ´t maximized (uses only a fourth of the screen)

- CanÂ´t find the "japbe.pref"-file. Where is it located?

I found the error. ItÂ´s been the "SciLexer.dll" (I still had 1.52 from the SciTe-editor made by Peter Spisla)
Downloading the 1.5.3 fixed the crashing problem.

I have downloaded the patch... and ran JaPBe from another directory.

I get the message " Can't open 'SciLexer.dll' "
