Look for standard Linux / Ubuntu fonts and/or Android fonts.
The should be "free" enough for you to distribute them with your application.

...indeed. Google has commissioned a font family called Noto, which is free to use commercially:

But Noto is a set of more than 200 fonts and 477MB zipped! :shock:

Our PB program today offers German, English and French. Now, for the fourth language, I need to switch the font's, too? And what if someone is using the English version and wants to write a Chinese message? Seems I need a font which covers European and Chinese in one. But how to do with all the Noto fonts? I'm pretty helpless now...

Welcome to the world of internationalization. :)

There is no font that includes all characters. You'll have to choose one that suits your needs.
Maybe a better option for you is to ask the user to select his/her own font.
