Frankly, every time I use an Apple product I feel they are overpriced and overdesigned, with the iPhone as the worst of the bunch.

Simple things are extremely annoying, such as copying photos TO an iPhone, or that I'm not allowed to have an app show up in more than one place. (Why Apple doesn't allow additional shortcuts is beyond me.) I also now and again have trouble finding the proper settings (a feat which, admittedly, MicroSoft brought to an all-time high with Windows 8 and which still hunts Windows 10). Or, unbelievable, the troubles of putting on a custom ringtone.

The iPad has some great applications, but that's thanks to the programmers of those applications, not due to Apple itself.

But most of all the fact that the whole iPad / iPhone ecosystem is so closed (unless you jailbreak) and you'll be totally 'locked in'. It's like having breakfast where only Apple milk fits in an Apple glass, and the only way to spread Apple butter on your Apple bread is by using an Apple knife. And if you like some non-Apple tomatoes with your Apple BLT, they won't fit.

Seriously, it's a nice eco system, and for those who like it: great. But I'm getting a little annoyed by some of the Apple fans, who apparently think iTunes is great, Safari is great, Apple Maps is fantastic, and the only good ringtones are those that Apple sells in their store.

It's smooth and fancy. Perhaps great for some users. But I am not impressed. Or rich enough :-)

Windows stinks. Well, so do Android, Linux and iOS / OSX.

^ THIS. I've never enjoyed a computer as much as my old A2000, except perhaps my C64 before it. Commodore was a great brand!
