You can post the source or let someone else try to compile it.
A little codewise suggestion ...
I have played with palettes myself and using a sorted and indexed palette makes it much faster to find the closest color.
If you aren't already doing that, you might consider that.

@zxretrosoft, I know. Apple is not the cheapest brand
As for your retro editor, I like the amount of palettes you offer to choose from.
When it comes to the effect menu, it still isn't clear to me what each option exactly does.
Maybe you can add some sort of help about those.

I totally understand, it's not clear to me:-))
I think it's more on experimentation. Especially the combination of effects can not predict ...
