thanks IdeasVacuum for referring to deepMesh, i will recharge my zero $ credit card a little and will buy it tomorrow, the price is $7.99 (USD) and the features http://www.deepmesh3d.com/features.php are too good.

I also got deepMesh 2 days ago. 7.40 Euro and free updates for life - Buy once, update for free.. forever! :D

deepMesh is not only a modeler. It says it is also a full scene builder, and that got my interest,
because I thought I could use it with PB/OGRE.

The scene file contains the info about external files like SkyBox, Meshes, Billboards, Terrain, Lights.
See: DEEPSCENE .SCN SCENE FORMAT SPECS

I think it should be possible to read the .scn file and write a loader that loads the whole world, so we could
use deepMesh for building OGRE worlds.

engine used in Deepmesh is not Ogre, but irrlicht. that could work differently, and maybe not compatible with Ogre engine stuff.

That is true - but you are interested in the output. The engine used by any app is effectively a means to an end. If PB was written in C++, that wouldn't deter me from using it.

If it sounds simple, you have not grasped the complexity.
