I was discussing the actual situation, which was touched upon by another poster who IS in Egypt.

But most importantly, your post was a general rant that had nothing to do with this situation (could be applied to ANY situation) and was atypical "media are lying to you again" gibberish.
Maybe I was wrong in pre-empting you, or maybe I wasn't. But I could easily see that discussion derailing the thread (as it is now) and decided to say something.

But, no. I put far more weight behind someone who is actually there, starting to bring up and discuss what is going on in his country.

You've got a good point. Elections form the cornerstone of democracy, and if every nation ousted their democratically elected leaders just because they were dissatisfied, we would all be in trouble.

The real question is, what did he do to justify a military coup? (besides sacking their top brass)

A woman I love often goes in Egypt in the same place. A bomb burst more than two years ago where she goes. I don't understand why I don't worry when she goes back there.

Since 15 years, she tells us not a lot. She takes lots of old dresses she weights before go to airport says us "good bye" and goes back with 3 or 4 fruits we feel very good the time of a dinner and that's all!

She buys lots of old dresses (for children and babies) here everytimes and will go back again to your country with. I do not know why exactly. She just tells us we are lucky here in France and we don't have to complain.
