I'm a native (English speaker, that is).

I am amazed how many of our friends on this forum take the trouble to converse in English, and do it so well.

I have no trouble understanding what is written, providing I am able to understand the concept, of course!

Perhaps the English in the manual should reflect this so it is understandable by all, even it is not perfect English.

I, too enjoy reading KCC. And Fred please continue with the informations.

@Demivec:
As the post that started this thread was edited, only stays my "less agreeable reaction".

My closing question was rethoric, as Luis pointed, but thanks for the positive response.

Thanks for the kind words! :D

On the reverse...If I try to read the French or German forums and then use Chrome's translate function, it deletes all [CR+LF]'s from the code blocks. :(
So I read the translated English but look at a compressed line of code.
Then untranslate the page to understand the code.

Has anyone else noticed this if translating the English forum to their native tongue and what is a reasonable solution?
Is the translate function bugged?

:P

After forgetting how to speak Bad English (at least I think my English is quite OK by now, considering I'm not a native speaker),
I'm actually going to learn how to speak Bad Mandarin starting next week (at least I'll give it a try). :)

That's why I especially look up to people who come from an entirely different language background
and still manage to communicate on a good level in English (Chinese, Arabic, ...). :)

I don't mind people writing posts using "incorrect" English, as long as they put some effort into it.
What I really don't like (as mentioned by other people) is that stupid abbreviated nonsense.

Poor English by natives speakers is the bane of native English speakers everywhere.

English has so many grammatical intricacies and confabulated, illogical and even contradictory rules that it can drive people nuts. But I don't think anyone here has ever tried to slight those who make the effort to speak English when it is not their native language.

What I hate most is being on the Internet and having to interact with someone who was born and raised in an English speaking country but, writes like a two year old and makes no attempt to better themselves. That is just complete and total intellectual waste.

But I'm not going to begrudge poor Gunther, from Mannheim, who didn't speak a lick of English until last week.
