@Jim, nice to hear you promote PB i always do I read a book on Python a while back and it quoted the author Guido Van Rossum saying he was dismayed to learn that many large 'blue chip' commercial companies never let on to others that they use Python because it is such a competitive advantage, i wonder if PureBasic suffers from this too?

Maybe Fred should have named his baby PureASM instead of PureBasic and say:
"This is a asm preprocessor with a Basic like macro language"
(I know there is the nasty '!' before the direct asm code...)

When I tell my coworkers (they code in asm and c/c++ under a Linux/Windows environment for a living - I code for fun) that I program with PureBasic you can see in their eyes what they think about it (it's like I would say I eat 'guano' for breakfast) - although they don't know PureBasic at all - but the name 'Basic' is sometimes disturbing because of the bad reputation of VisualBasic for hardcore asm c/c++ programmers.

BTW: Yes I like PureBasic. Why? Don't know, it's like you see a new car on the road and you like it right away (example: the new Mini Cooper). You see it, you touch it, you love it.
Yes, sometimes it's that simple.
I learnt a lot in these two years, and I think PureBasic has a great future (hopefully!).
