Actually, we don't use a screen, but can do a pretty good job of simulating your theme.
We use a dual colour ribbon (black and red) on the teletype machine, which directs the output to our
Personal
Action
Planner and
Event
Recorder. And by using one of the device's several colour options for background colouring we can produce results similar to your own.

Actually, this arrangement will be made obsolete fairly soon, as we plan to install the latest in unit record equipment.
The IBM salesman says that we'll be able to program the patch panels ourselves, which should give us a lot more flexibilty in running our operations.
I've heard that punched cards have been quite successful elsewhere.
