Given that, I would also like to say: sorry MachineCode. I think we were both taken by misperceptions in the forum search behavior.

AND... You were right to point out that you had different results with EN_CHANGE inside (ascii) double quotes. Thank you for that.

I was wrong to say the forum search stripped the double quotes from serach terms -- appears now, it does not if you use the proper double quote as traditionally expected in most all search engines (like you did).

I think what I did is used true double quotes (old habit using 2 single quotes: ''EN_CHANGE'') instead of the proper (ascii) double quote ("EN_CHANGE"), and posted results from that search in my original thread. In fact if you go back and look at my original (still unedited) post where it says: ''Next it will cast out the ''EN'' because...'', you can see that I was using 2 single quotes there, so I'm really not making this up to provide an excuse. :) They look the same but certainly don't operate the same. The forum search will strip the single quote character, but not the ascii double quote. Not even trying to say that is what happened. It is the only explanation I can think of for my error.

Whatever its worth, you also brought something else to my attention. My broswer shortcut points to forum.purebasic.com and that is where I normally run all my searches << *without* logging in, and all pages from my search results remain in the forum.purebasic.com domain. I just now noticed after I logged in, every page is showing the http://www.purebasic.fr domain.

Yes, I think this is where a lot of my confusion came from. I was seeing two totally different URLs, and assumed the forums were different as a result; and this was further "evidenced" to me when the old forums were shut down by Fred some years back. It all seemed to fit and make sense.
Microsoft Visual Basic only lasted 7 short years: 1991 to 1998.
PureBasic: Born in 1998 and still going strong to this very day!

I agree, but it is a shame they cost an extra $20-$50. :|
Best wishes to the PB community. Thank you for the memories. ♥️
