All I can say is if you are worried about the program, either quit using it or switch to a carrier that doesn't use the Carrier IQ program.
Bitching about it may spread the word whether it's accuarate or not, but that's all it does.

You can't quit using it, it ignores the instruction to close down. You still haven't watched the video have you? As for changing carrier to avoid it, who new it was there before this scandal broke?

Well it seems Carrier IQ may well breach laws in Europe and in the USA so this furore may do more than just 'spread the word', it's now being investigated by authorities on both continents. If we're lucky the fallout may force carriers and manufacturers to start respecting their customer's privacy.
