Well said Vacuum. I have no problem with Brice; always got on well with him, but as sorry as I am for any confusion regarding the licensing etc. I do have to make it absolutely clear that I have never been out to fleece people of money in any way. Brice's original purchase of eGrid has always entitled him to the EsGRID control - which is the same control, but with far more features!

If anyone objects to having to pay extra to upgrade to ExGRID having originally purchased a lifetime license for EsGRID (or egrid) then, well, all I can do is repeat myself. ExGRID is not a replacement for EsGRID and EsGRID is still as valid and relevant as it ever was. However, ExGRID was far far too much work to simply give it away, even to existing EsGRID users. For 2 years the upgrade price for existing users was 7.5 Euros; which would barely buy me a cup of coffee round these parts! :) I don't know how many people at this moment haven't upgraded, but I suspect that I can count them on one hand. Most took advantage on what I have to say was a generous update price. But then there is no need to upgrade; not if EsGRID is good enough, and for most apps it is certainly that.

Anyhow, I think it is all very straight forward now and yes I would like to get back to extending the grids further into Mac OSX territory. Whatever is the outcome here there will be no additional charges for existing users - no sir.

By the way; there is no Arctic Reports trial version - never has been. All there is, is a demo version of the Pyrex designer which is available through the Arctic Reports website.

Thanks again Vacuum.

Consider yourself, lucky. :) Over here, Snickers has always been Snickers, but there used to be a Marathon bar that was completely different than a Snickers. Our Marathon bar was eight inches long and was a braided bar that was chocolate covered caramel: http://i44.tinypic.com/2qkms85.jpg Our Marathon bar wasn't very good. IIRC, the actor from that ad is John Wayne's son, Patrick.

@Brice : I was just checking my records and, well, you have a username and password (username kuron) which would have given you access to the EsGRID download up until the point I removed that particular section of the website which was perhaps 4 weeks back now. You have had access to EsGRID all along. I am interested in knowing what version you currently have? You should find the version number at the top of the egrid/EsGRID source.

btw, all EsGRID functions still begin with egrid_ (e.g. egrid_GetCellText()). I am wondering if you have indeed been using EsGRID all along, but just didn't realise it. :)
