...I think Innocent until proved Guilty should apply! It's possible that Fred made an agreement with the company for a multi-seat purchase - I'd be surprised if he did not receive inquiries of that nature. Indeed, that kind of interest bodes well for PB's reputation and continuation. The only fear that I would have is that a large company making a large purchase may then have too much influence in terms of what happens next with PB.

@Community
Is it always necessary to discuss license-agreements at every place?
We are talking about a company ... and this user here is just a employee.
And it is up to Fred to manage this stuff, how could we, without knowing
anything what Fred is doing, discuss something like that seriously?

As long as Fred is just sale PB licenses as one-time fee ...
... there is no influence by anyone.

I just presumed there was a previous pdf as there was one for the current version. I asked as it is easier to read a printed out pdf whilst sitting in a comfy chair and a glass of wine that reading a chm in front of a monitor.

IMO if you get a job coding in PB you're extremely lucky.. I get to use it only when employers don't ask for source, cause it's a propriatary compiler..
I end up using .NET more than I like..also RealBASIC tends to show up more because it has more active development and cross-compile. PB is very refined and makes good binaries though. I also only need the help that is included.

Just tried this CHM to PDF converter, the 'basic' version does a good job:
