Ah, that would be it, then! Because the mails I'm sending are indeed in rapid succession, like two every 10 seconds or so. This is easily possible due to Gmail's autocomplete for email addresses (I only need to type 2 chars for the recipient), then all I do is press tab twice to skip the subject field, then type a 5-char message body and click "Send".
