Hi there,
Apple rejected my test-App "Show-IP" because of a "bug", which actually is a feature...
They didn't find the Quit-entry in the menu... D'oh

I "forgot" it on purpose...
But that shows, PB-Apps are welcome in the App-Store!!!
Great,
thanks again, Joe!

I sold just about 200 copies of Sprite Monkey in the last 3 months and finally got a review on the Mac App Store. I was beginning to wonder if any of the buyers were actually using the app. But I was looking at it as, no reviews hopefully meant no complaints. I guess I'll have to wait and see if the reviews pick up now.

That's not bad Joe
The sales of my iOS app are so low that I'm considering to make it free and discontinue my developer account
Was it a positive review ?

Yeah, it's nice to have a little extra cash at the end of each month.
Sorry to hear that. I wouldn't discontinue your account yet. If the sales are not that great, like you're saying. Make it free for a limited time. Then your download rate will jump and help market your app by word of mouth. Then hopefully after that you may pick up more sales. Or just make it free to help promote yourself/company and create a new app to sell. Games are the biggest sellers but they have to be unique in some way in order stand out. My offer still stands if you ever want to create one together.
Yeah, it was a very good review. 4 out of 5 stars and no complaints.

Selling 200 copies of a tool like this in just three months is outstanding!
I am very happy for you for your success! It looks like a great app!

200 * 3 usd = 600 usd * 0.7 = about 400 usd... its about 125 a month, which is very similar to my (much different) product on appstore.
I tend to find that appstore mac is better than appstore iphone/ipad since its so new and not bloated with app's (yet).
I wonder if there is a good way to get more PB developers have their stuff published on appstore.
If anyone ever want to publish anything for free, they can use my account. If I can ever give a good review to any of you I will. Now I will buy sprite monkey to support whats going on here!

Yeah, the iOS store does have a lot more apps. That's why you have to research on what users are buying the most of and even read their comments. Sometimes you'll see where it says the app is nice but could use the following features. But yet the author never adds them for whatever reason. This is where you come in and give the users what they want.
As for the Mac store. It may do better being that it is younger but it is already loaded with apps too. People are already overlooking some apps because there are choices now. So be creative.
Like I have said before, games will sell. Two main features that people always ask for is gamepad and online multiplayer support. Of course the game has to be interesting too.

Found a bug with CCSprite export from Sprite Monkey. The full version and demo have been fixed and uploaded. The full version update should be available after iTunes Connect reviews it. I apologize.
I also added comment image names for each frame, so you can easily look back and quickly figure out what still frame you want to use.
