XP x86 SP3
The XPS-printer can not be set to higher than 1, but why should it?
Normal/real devices & even CutePFD works well.

Again: Indeed it could. And nothing to do with XPS-Printers (see
POST above and Screenshots in last post).

Moved over to Vista x86 SP2.
With similar result;
Only one copy with
- Fax
- XPS
- MS OneNote
Normal with
- CutePDF
- HP 1200
- HP Universal Printer

at first glimpse I had the impression that the graphical differences might
be a matter of the XP skin. And in fact after testing the function
with XP skin enabled and disabled I was able to reproduce your two
screenhots (tested on a 64 Bit Intel iMac with Windows 7 Home Edition
and both PB 4.51 x86 and x64)...
