I agree, the only real way a computer could safely drive a car is if all cars were computer driven and that there was some fool proof way for computer to be able to sense the road, other cars, etc. In other words, take humans completely out of the picture, a "driver" would simply get in and select where he wants to go and the car does the rest including parking itself.

Well, with that in mind and that a pilot's license is required, then I have to side with Vera and ask why even bother? A small airplane like a Cesna would probably be cheaper and safer than a "flying car". On top of that flying cars would likely be treated the same as small airplanes by the NTSB and the FAA so you'd still have all the responsibilities and requirements an airplane owner currently has. At the end of the day, the flying car owner/pilot is no different than a small airplane owner/pilot.

I'm kind of surprised you didn't look at local commuter airlines for those longer trips. Or did you?

Simply was not an option. I did look at using charter services where a qualified pilot would do all the flying, but same case as before, the company I was working for would not allow it based on legal liability & was really very cost prohibitive. fwiw, I drove on average a little over 100,000Km per year back in those days which worked sort of like I get a call at anywhere from 10.00am to 2.00pm,( Or in a lot of cases, after 4.00pm when the banks were trying to lock up secured environments ) I then drop whatever I am doing in order to attend the 'Urgent case' & away I go, drive to the site, do whatever is needed to get them back online then drive home. Probably the reason why I hate driving so much now.. :)

Their brain is a neural network, so it saves no exact definition of anything and after 18 or 21 years
the neurons are overfitted and nobody could ever tell you whether a person's brain is good enough for driving.

"asocial" means:
"4. Inconsiderate of others; self-centered."
Some people are like a certain kind of words :

They don´t always say what they mean
they don´t always mean what they say.
There is a difference between knowing the code and writing the code.
May the code be strong in your projects.
