Hmmm I haven't even thought about that. I have no idea where to look. Are the emulator something I have to buy or are they freely downloadable?

Since the time KayPro computers came out I had always wanted one! I'd still love to have one, but nay, the price for shipping would be too much to send to me in the USA.
Back in 85 when I was in the Army, our supply section had a KayPro, I was in the Personnel section and thinking "Shit! I gotta figure out how to get transferred into Supply!"

to my knowledge, there are a bunch free downloadable C64 emulators out there...
... 1000NOK plus shipping maybe within my monetary boundaries... hm... *sigh*

Joakim has dibs on it for now. I'd rather not send it. I'm afraid it might get damaged during the transport.

He is getting it for a steal.
I wouldn't think twice about spending $500 USD (3000 Kroners?) for it and another $100-$150 for shipping. Unfortunately, I already have one and I paid $600 USD for the one I have (perfect condition) and $80 USD for shipping.
Definitely a good system for somebody.

Yeah, I once wrote a game called 'Multibug' for it, hand assembled. I just would love to obtain a copy of that old game, sigh...

Would be more impressive if it was foot assembled!

Emulator:
http://www.ccs64.com/ or
http://www.viceteam.org/
Games:
http://www.c64.com/
All legal and free.
Unfortunatly for Amiga it's not that easy, because the kickstart ROM's are still copyright protected and are not free. You have to buy them.

Hmmm....
I have a mint condition Kaypro 2000, generally considered the first laptop computer, that I used about 1 week to determine suitability for a software project. It was then repackaged in the orginal packaging, stored and forgotten in my office.
Wonder what that puppy is worth?

Well the same as all collectibles: It's worth what someone is willing to pay for it.
Realy it's extremly hard to say how much worth is something if it comes to collecting.
Well i can say it is worth to put on eBay if you need money.

Scheisse, I found one of those at work some time ago, and dumped it. It looked like yours, but had
a dot-matrix printer built into it as well.
The oldest computer I have right now is
this one. At least, it runs Basic.

Somewhere in the attic there are two Atari 400's, one 800, one 64XL (modified to 256 kB), and one Amiga 2000 (with 68030 board).
I just could not bring myself to throwing them away... perhaps one day the Amiga is gonna go, but I fear the 8 bitters are going to stay
