Hehe, the spam bot makers usually target it indeed. A good practice is to replace the captcha with a custom one immediately.LuCiFeR[SD] wrote:I don't think security and stability can be used in the same sentence as phpbb lol

Ok, we are back on. Lets hope everything works. If you notice any problems, or have gained any mysterious permissions you did not have before, please let us know
Note: The search index for the forum is not fully rebuilt yet (its just damn slow). We are doing this while the forum is up and we hope it will not impact the forum usage a lot. Note that the search will return less results than possible until the index is fully built.

Not bad. I personally really prefer the avatars at the right side of the posts' texts.

There is 2 alternate styles to choose from if the default one doesn't fit to you.

I'm sorry but the new forum software makes reading the forums a lot more painful. None of the built in themes are very pretty and/or user friendly. This forum now looks ugly and horrible, unlike the old elegant and simple format. I don't like it. And i personally think it will drive people away. Time will tell.

I picked the one that looked the most like the old one, to be honest... but I can live with it

I never feel easy with changes - you loose the homelike comfort and have to build it up anew
on the other side you'll find funny things like 'A board of selfreflection' :
while viewing 'Who is online' I saw it was me 'viewing who is online'
cheers for that ~ Vera

Why should I be forced to read code in someone else's choice of color?Kale wrote:Syntax Highlighting for snippets would be nice to include.
You just proved my point.Kale wrote:None of the built in themes are very pretty

To get a similar scheme to the old forums, select "SkyLineBlue" for the Board Style in the forum settings. It separates each post more clearly and the avatars are on the left again.

personally, I'm more interested in the information and assistance the community provides; a change to the forum's décor doesn't change that, in my opinion.
