Yes I managed to contract some relation of the Conflicker virus some time ago. It attacked my AV program! I just took the opportunity to reformat my drive and remove all the junk I had accrued over time! :)

LOL

yes, reformatting is always the best. my old college roommate used to reformat every week ?!

i wonder if we can port linux's DD to work on windows??

then you can make an exact hard-drive image of a clean install at whatever stage you want and just use that.

have any of you ever done anything like that?

Nope.

Afraid that I am a complete duffer when it comes to hardware related issues and those types of things. These days I know better than to try and upgrade my computer myself or mess around with boot settings or OS snapshot images, partitions, dual boots... etc. I just pay for someone to come and do it for me! It works out cheaper in the end - a lot cheaper!

It's the same with cars! Too many painful (and expensive) lessons means that my box of spanners remains locked away in my old shed and any repairs required to my old banger are undertaken by my local garage!

Mind you, if anyone needs their gas boiler fixing then I'm your man! srod aka Frank Spencer!

How should I know? Lost count years ago!

Older than Fred, older than Freak, don't know about Bericko and Rings. Younger than that old git Fangbeast though!
