we have a key for it on the keyboard...
seriously... it's western ascii 228, give ALT-[0,2,2,8] a try...
@Subtopic1
... I'm getting a bit tired about this bloody "can you be sure" mourning every day again and again...
if we wanna go the whole hog, I suggest to first of all change "PB"s nickname,
because he is a Person but not the Product this forums is about!

PB are my initials, not a nickname. You leave them alone.

you need to hit 5 keys to get an "a" like that! wow, that's more annoying than japanese!
I'm gonna start a new account with "PD" and be better buddies with PB

@initials
you should have chosen your Username more carefully.
@Paul
on a german keyboard you need only one keystroke like for any other standard letter.
if you don't have one, you'd rather spell it "ae" than entering the ascii manually.

It's the hysteria that comes after depression. Our firm is doing mass layoffs! I seem to have survived though

but it's not doing any wonders for my mood or motivation
people at their desks in the morning got called off to "meetings" and they never come back, accounts disabled while away from their desk, the company sends their stuff home by courier.
Couple of my friends got sniped.
"Financial crisis" is just an excuse to do house cleaning at a time when the general public are not surprised by layoff announcements in the media

years of profits not used to treat their own staff with some respect

that's always a good reason to feel somewhat relieved.
Pity IT people can't build in fail safes into the system anymore.
Really old story from the 70's
Some company fired it's lead software developer and once his name was off the pay roll their whole system crashed.
The had to pay him to fix it.

All I'm saying is, that "PB" has NEVER been an official acronym for PureBasic,
so don't tell me I can't use it or should've thought about it better. So silly to
argue over, isn't it? I mean, come on. I don't want to have bad blood between
us over this.

> "PB" has NEVER been an official acronym for PureBasic
just fair, but some use it that way.
I stumbled more than once over the problem, to comment some post or code of you and
had a problem how to write it that nobody could think I meant "Purebasic" and not you.
but I surely already got arranged with it.
after all that was just some kind of example....
> I don't want to have bad blood between us over this.
me either.
I was just being a bit sarcastic about the "who is who" problem, and I'm sorry you felt aimed too much, that wasn't my intension...

it was a sarcastic example to show how ridiculous it is to
- suspect everyone from Finland to be Irene
- to believe anybody who's nickname isn't nobody must be faking
sorry this banter went out of hand.

The sad thing in my opinion, is not to use a nickname like 'marksibly' , but when asked... to say 'yes, it's me' .
