What I wanted to say is: like my topic, how short and clear and objectiv could a forum be, if those members I've tried to describe above, would keep silent and answer only if they really know an answer!
gnozal knew an answer: he showed you a workaround.
this is a valid answer, since it may help you with the problem that leaded to your request.

blueznl had an answer: he stated he didn't want it.
this is valid, too, since those who don't want a change should not stay silent until the change they don't like is implemented.

I answered to you: I said that it's a C standard, not a Basic standard.

it would no longer be a FORUM, look up what that term means.

Tomio has a point that replies were perhaps a little strong (me included, hate it, hate it, hate it :-)) but if people don't react to requests, how can the PBdevs ever estimate how much we'd like or don't like a certain feature?

I think it's fine if people explain why they do or don't like a request, but if not a simple +1 or -1 would also do...

Oh dear... there was a discussion about people not liking the +1 / -1 response some time ago... :?
