yes, and I'm not sure I like that they don't care how old the website and pictures of the product on it look, that's all ;)
If you read my post closely, you'll see that i did say the marketing could be better,
and i am also not opposed to website updates. All i was saying is that it won't bring
instant world domination as some of you seem to think it would.

Now if and when we do something about this will be by our timetable, not yours.
Just because you think it should be done right now doesn't mean Fred has to jump
through hoops just to make you happy.

Now, could somebody please start a 3rd thread about this ? Two just don't seem to be enough...
It won't bring domination - of course. Though what is showed on the website is somehow a lie : Purebasic is way much better than what is shown !! ;)
I'm one of the persons who do think that the more user Purebasic have, the more powerful it'll become, and an update of the website can do that :)
(not domination, just power of the language/compiler, as the more user there are, the more apps/games are created, the more bug are reported, etc...)

As I said, I love purebasic but I'm sad when I see its website ;)

Those who know what PB can do will not really care about what the website looks like. Heck, if my girlfriend cared about what I looked like then she'd soon be on the next plane to the back of beyond! Hell, if I cared what I looked like I might even wash my socks once in a while!

If anyone can find me a programming language as enjoyable to use as PB then I would consider switching... and on that day I will wash my socks! :)

Why not create a fan-site which shows off Purebasic in the way that you think it needs to be? A healthy community is more than just the main site which sells the product, its also everything that gets built up around it. Rather than bitching about what you can't change, go ahead and do some things that are positive.

?

People have been asking for website updates for many years, not just "now".
It should really be taken seriously, IMO. It's feedback from the public about
the perception of PureBasic. To keep brushing it aside for years may seem
trivial to you or Fred, but you must listen to what people on the street have
been saying. Don't keep ignoring them for another 5 years. IMO. Peace.

...for example, we could use a lot of tutorials about everything you can do with Purebasic.

not just in english, in every language. we have really few tutorials in german,
and I bet there is not quite a load of them in french, so go and write a tutorial.
oh... and have a nice day.

She must be smart though... she won't ask you to drive her to the airport!

I say... if you feel like going out into the world and handing out leaflets about PB... prosletyzing PB up and away to all and sundry you meet then go! Do!

Just PLEASE don't tell me about it... I already know.
Binarily speaking... it takes 10 to Tango!!!
