"Toutou" does not mean "stuffed toy"; in french, a "toutou" is a cute little doggie.
The word you're thinking to is "doudou", which is a teddy bear, or any other stuffed toy filthy with years worth of snot and saliva that a kid loves to hug during the night in the false hope it will protect him from the razor-teethed monsters lurking under his bed.
