thats my latest track. (its my first complete track actually, and the next one will be much better. and yes i do write other stuff than trance, also piano pieces and various things. I can do just about anything in my head - the problem is getting it out. That comes rapidly, though.)
And I try to "make friends" as I may need a song/sound for an upcoming PB-project Embarassed
scholly, just ignoring fools and sensations
omgfz u just lost a phriend who do musique! i do no audio now rest my life i'l just go round banging the drums
(just joking about german though, i love germans!)
I got lots of stuff in my head just need to get it out. The melodies are hard to program, but i will master it one day if i keep trying. Everybody can do what they want if they just want it enough right?

I am everyones friend and will always be (to some extent in most cases ^_^). If you ever feel you need music for your needs, then please PM me with as much detail as you can about the track. I do not really care for what you need the track, even if it was for a home party or you want just listen to something new/original. I think I will get the Hauppauge Impact VCB, because it is Brook Tree based meaning that the source will be directly fed to the PC application making sure there is no latency. I have no problems with audio connections, I can just as well hook up auxiliary audio through a combinator to the line in of my sound card.
Always a friend my dear,
Irene

If you read
http://www.hauppauge.de/pages/products/ ... ctvcb.html , you find other infos: no TV-Tuner, no Brook Tree (FUSION 878). Don't know, whether that makes a difference for the capture-tool of your choice (the ones shipped by HAuppauge don't have the best reputation)

The Fusion 878A chip is a Brook Tree chip (BT878). I do not need a TV tuner at all, video capturing is all I need, otherwise I would go for the Hauppauge WinTV PVR 150. Also, I do not want to record video sources but have them rendered in real time. For example I would like to hook up my VCR so I can watch old VHS movies in realtime on my TFT display... Recording them is not necessary for me ^_^
I heard bad things about the Hauppauge software too, but I will be using either MythTV or tvtime on GNU/Linux (do not worry, just make suggestions for Windows XP as I have that too in case I can not find equivalents for GNU/Linux).
Cheers,
Irene

oh yeah just look at that. Really clever statement, do you think harff is a dorf or something to see what you just did in the other thread?

Thanks

Yeah there is a lot of work. But the only thing to do is to practice

I'll make sure you get a copy of the next track when its done.
appreciate your feedback mate.
i bring a laptop on the ski'ing vacation so i can work a bit on the melodies and leads. And on programming the synths to my likings [just bought tone2 gladiator a few days ago, and various mastering tools. Lots of stuff to read. now i just hope i'm fresh and that there isn't too much afterskiing going on eh]

In this case the
WinTV2000 Applikation might be enough, though I would prefer
WinTV32 for the more clear layout

And if its not a high-end VCR with 1st-class-tapes and you don't have well trained eyes, don't mess with the S-Video, just use the cheap standard Composite-SCART connections, IMHO that would be enough.

After going through thgis amount of postings where I did try to find the real issue I think I figured out whats the point.
SVideo capturing only makes sense IF the source also is provided as separate luma and chroma signals. Analogue TV is not, so F-Bas, Composite Connection will probably result in the same quality.
All those cheap capturing cards do come with a software mpeg2 encoding which in 99,9% is crappy - btw. those hardware encodings of the Haupauge cards as well.
The main focus should be set on the signal handling quality of the specific card. Newer Connexant BT878 or the verrry proofed Phillips SA7134 cards do result in a very good quality (using free VirtualDub for capturing or VirtualVCR). The final resulting videostream can (I know you dont need it Irene) be streamed using an almost lossless videocodec like HuffYUV or mjpeg at top quality output.
Final encodigs to mpeg2 should be done using (even free) software like HCenc which does result in a much higher quality.
I didn't catch you speak german. Greets from Cologne.
