I can't say much myself, as the car accident I was in back in Feb messed up my left index finger pretty bad which has really bugged my guitar playing quite a bit. Still play other instruments ok, though.

As to the song, we really tried to stay true to the original version.
to be honest Brice, just my ego. a few beers.... and I think I am god :P

no offence meant... he is not a bad drummer... just unusual for a drummer to follow the vocalist I guess. I always made a point of following the bassist... or occasionally making the bassist "Follow the leader" hehehe....

the song itself, is VERY good, I enjoyed it a lot. Reminded me of stuff I listened to in my youth. and to be honest, I would feel very happy to play with ANY of you from your band in a gig, as bassist or drummer. but, drums are a passion, and me being me... hehe, EGO :P. Please, don't take offence.. Just, haha... nah, people have enough trouble without mine thrown in :) And I owe the fool an apology. Sorry mate... I didn't mean to piss you off either :P

To make new friends ;), count me in for the "bad drummer" thingy.
He's just not tight and the entire recording has a certain hobbling feeling to it.

I enjoyed listening to the singer who's - though singing on his limit - got a nice and fitting voice.

Ash, no offense was taken, dude ;)

Yeah, actually we are all kind of all over the place, but it is just an informal jam session  If you really want to hear some uber loose jams, you should hear our Grateful Dead covers, LOL.

We are just having fun, but I have the bad habit of recording everything.

As for vocals, we all trade off on those duties. I try to avoid it though as I sound like a donkey being sodomized when I try and sing

you and me both brother.... hahaha,my singing is a cross between that and a strangled cat! But I really am glad you weren't offended as I sure as hell didn't intend that! And I am the first to admit, my post often come accross like machine gun fire accross no mans land!

still, I do show off when I know I am good at something... ego is something I have kind of "grown accustomed" to. haha, although, good or bad, my stuff was recorded when iron maiden were still the gods of metal :) not that anyone would ever guess the influence eh? :) Just for the record, not trying to Jip your efforts.... enjoyable, just, erm, the drummer... and I know this sounds terrible... but the timing side of things... just not as good as it could have been...

another couple of hours before recording, perhaps a different story. But perhaps one day mate, if you fancy it... I woud happilly team up with you on a musical project. Just for fun, even if it is a "play by ear" jamming session :P. I for one would enjoy it a lot!

The sound quality is really impressive.
IMHO, very muddy sounding, but it wasn't meant to be a professional recording, mainly trying to capture some of the majic of a jam session.
Heh, it was better than I expected from an off topic post on a programming forum, music and recording wise.

One of my claims to fame is being kicked in the nuts by Bruce Dickinson.

When I get some time, I will send you a PM of an old song of his from the 80's. I would love your opinion on the drum track, as for me, it is #2 on my list of all time best drumming on a song.

Same here, bro.
