maybe this explains the sudden increase of AV Alarms on PB written programs ...
Good point, hadn't thought of that. This could, if allowed to go on, affect the credibility of all programs written with PB.

They are redistributing the Purebasic Demos on their server.
Did Fred agree to that?

Could this also affect the credibility of all languages that use FASM?

Not speaking for Fred, but he probably has less problem with that than when they were distributing the full warezed version several months back

In a strange twist of fate this could actually lead to more sales for Fred and the team.

Hi, my friends
I wrote the Super Control with unreg PB3.94
but I don't think they are trojans
just like Super Control WAP! , it can help parents with their kids. on the other hand ,it can improve my PB skills.
so, don't say bad things behind us as a matter of course .
If we really make some wrong things, just post out`.

I must be missing something here! Did you just say you're using an unregistered version of PB, and you don't want bad things said about you?
I must have woken up in the twilight zone!

Just curious.
Does unregistered mean demo?
What is the licence covering unregistered (eg demo, not cracked) version?
Can't find it on the purebasic website, but IIRC there is nothing against using it (demo) forever and whereever.
(Mind you it would be pretty hard to write something decent without api and etc available).

Unreg means it is an ILLEGAL copy... you sell one version to one persoon in China and congratulations... you sold to them all!
Sadly there is very little that can be done to avoid this (but I can think of a few...) barring ONLINE REGISTRATION required before compiling programs...
Each computers serial number becomes PART of the registration... the hassle is obvious, update yer tech... loose the license. But as you are a proud member of the forums from the last tech you had refixing is easy.
My wife hates the lack of authority in china and all the sleaziods that steal software in china. Her brothers best friend was tryingto sell MS Windows XP on the streetcorner... He was picked up by the police and talked to for 4 hours...
not for selling illegal copies of MS Windows... for loiteringin front of a shop that sold technology (and their own illegal copies of MS Windows XP!)
My opinion: Suck it up and buy it @55wipe!!! You can't buy it, there are free alternatives out there!

I don't want to suspect anybody with a chinese name, but there's a new one:
TangLuQing, and again a network related question with the same terrible
english. Sorry if I'm wrong TangLuQing.

Some sicko people are simply not happy unless they are causing harm in one way or another to other people.

It is probably college students... geeknoid nerds who are compensating for lack of girlfriend by boasting how badass a viri they can hack out of someone elses code...
I left a comment MY OWN OPINION in Tango's code question in pin yin chinese... I considered leaving it in Spanish as well but it might melt the forum...

Although I get flamed by idiots who have no idea what is going on in China, you ARE speaking the truth.
Back in the late 90s, most DoS, DDoS attacks on major sites and services like Microsoft, Yahoo, were being traced back to the newly formed CyberWarfare division of the Chinese Military, as are attacks against the electrical power and telecom infrastructure of the USA. They have technology that makes our PROMIS and B.E.A.S.T. look useless.
Since 2000, most DoS, DDoS attacks, security probes on even average sites, spam and viruses are being traced back to the computer science departments of major Chinese universities. This is part of the curriculum and what one has to learn in order to graduate.
But this is a country with no respect for IP rights, and where piracy of ALL goods is an accepted way of life, much more than it is in Russia. You literally cannot go 2 miles from the airport in China without seeing pirated goods being sold. It is a shame anything I bought would have been confiscated by customs when I came back to the USA, as I could have made out like a bandit

That's a common idea, however, it doesn't work. Patching the program to work around the check for the online registration isn't any harder than patching the program to work around the check for a serial number.
