Just a quicky incase anyone else runs into this and needs Visual Designer working under Vista in a hurry...

Version 3.95 build 1485 (pb4code) seems to run fine under Vista. :shock: :D .

Pity it took me this long to find it. I've tried everything this week including installing Ubuntu and running Visual Designer under wine, not really ideal at all but we live and learn :)

It opens OK, let's you set the size of the page, but once you select a gadget and try and draw it on the empty document it freezes for several minutes before allowing you to add another gadget.
I installed PureBasic in C:\MyProgramFiles so it does not suffer from Vista's care over C:\Program Files.
But I have the same problem. It freezes (seems to).
Furthermore I can not change the project directory in Preferences

finally found time to install Vista again, the day before christmas :wink:

Fixed for next alpha 16 8)
