Houston Texas... just about south of Chicago in the USA. Houston is considered to have a "Sub-Tropical" climate. It rains more here than in Seattle... Once a week, at a minimum, every week; all year.

Image

There are many skylines in Houston, this is one of the main ones...

Downtown they have finally installed the Metrorail. It really goes about nowhere because of all the infighting at city hall about where it should go... The opinions vary because of what properties the members of city council own...

Image

This is Americas Center... You may recognize it from the SimCity 2000+ Series:

Image
The ugly little squat white building to the right of it is the FBI Building... infamous only because the contractor mounted the windows backwards so they opened from the outside.

One of the weird events here is the Art Car Parade:

There is too much more but if y'all pop on down let me know and the wife and I can locate you the best Barbeque in the USA and the Happiest Tex-Mex as well as one of the best Hamburgers (invented in Texas!) ever!!!

Have you noticed that no-one from the UK has posted.

It is so boring and bland over here.

(stands back and waits for the backlash..)

too bad I don't have any pictures of my town just yet.

So far I like Bergen, Norway best - by a very large margin!

Argentina, in the atlantic coast in a small town (less than 15,000 people living here) that have a lot of tourims in summer.

The name of the town comes from mixing the word from pine forrest (we have a lot) and the ocean.

Thanks dell_jockey.
Here are lots more photos from Bergen

Bad thing about my town is the prices. Many tourists are rich Americans and Japanese families.

Cool you have a cable car at Bergen, Stuttgart has one too it's in the forest near my house, but ours is probably 100 years old and looks realy ancient. We also have a cog railroad whcih I can see from my bedroom.

We live in the millionairs-quarter :D (But we are no millionaires  . It's just called millionairs-quarter because there were a lot of people opening stores, clinical practices and so on).

Yeah, not sure how old it is but don't think ours is that old. We got two new carts last year I think. It's the only cable carts in Scandinavia :)
