That is what is on the PureVision website, the complete program with only save and export missing. If you spend a little more time with it instead of just a "quick play", you will find that this application is quite functional and very good at what was made to do.

Grouping gadgets is as simple as putting a check in front of them.
Then you can move and size the entire group at once.

What installer toolbox did you use to create the installer program (if any)?

Install Maker by ClickTeam

Apart from that I had a very quick play with it and found the following:
- For some reason the text gadgets had a different background colour from the window.

This is so you can easily see the height and width of your gadget on the form without having to pull up the gadget properties.

- Having to use the navigation buttons instead of being able to drag the gadgets with the mouse is a hassle.

Of course this is personal preference. I find it much easier and quicker to design professional forms using the navigation buttons or the cursor keys. It is much more accurate.

- So is not being able to highlight a gadget in the form designer (the list of gadgets) window and press the delete key.

This has already been added to the latest version. And with user support, you will find even more features and functionality as this product grows.

I should have wrote "Could you supply a demo exe with GUI created in PureVision which shows off all its features".

So this is something in the editor and not in your applications with GUIs created in PV?

Were you unable to compile the "Demo.pb" file located in the "PureVision\Demo Files" folder?
I just assumed anyone interested in PureVision already owns PureBasic and can compile the files themselves.

The demo files show what the exported code looks like and how to quickly and easily incorporate it into your own apps.

Yes I was able to try the supplied demo code, but I thought PureVision would be capable of more.

PureVision does everything it claims... it allows you to quickly and easily design forms for use in your applications. It then exports PureBasic source code to include in your application, allowing them to display these forms at any time with a single command.

The forms made are only as good as the peson making them

The demo is a simple example of how to use the exported code in your own application. Are you looking to see more comlicated forms? Just look at the PureVision interface itself... it was entirely created in PureVision. (doesn't that sound odd)

Yes.

Just look at the PureVision interface itself... it was entirely created in PureVision. (doesn't that sound odd)

NOP.For example PowerBasic has NO visual Desginer included, you have to pay for(and its expensive $99 or more).VB is a bit more difficult, coz you cannot create a Window without the IDE.RapidQ's Designer is crap and its a Interpreter.

And there a free alternatives for PureBasic downloadable; look at the resourcesite.

We should increase price for Purebasic to 74 Euro and include PureVision.

(or increase up to 100 Euro and include some more Toolz and libs , a PRO-Version with all missing Stuff written by ThirdPartyVendors like Danilo

)

All gadgets are given a sequencial temporary name/number until you assign a proper Name

This is a limitation of the first release. Remember, this is version 1 (and growing)

If you resize or reposition with the move/size keys or buttons then all changes are saved. If you just drag the window, changes are not saved.

I'm still trying to get an answer from Fred on this one. It seems that this gadget is made up of 2 seperate gadgets... and PureBasic's move command only affects one of them

The images default size is used unless you check the box labeled "Resize Image", then it will always you the size you specify.

Hope to fix for next version.

If a person is using 4 different PC's then he is running 4 copies of Windows which runs at about $150 each for XP Home. That comes to $600. If you have not bought a license for each copy... that is of course illegal...

It would appear to me, PureBasic is an extremely productive application, and still, no per workstaion surcharge. Interesting to me; charging a single person for the same product repeatedly may not be considered unethical by some, but it is unethical (or at least thats the reason it is illegal in this country) to charge a person more than once for the same crime.

Fact is; It is the multiple workstations that offer the single user increased productivity, NOT the single application made available to each of their workstations.

If I am to respect one who would exploit the single user in the slightest, and then on top of that, one who claims resposibility for increased productivy based on that users own hardware investment, then the one I must respect most is one who does not.
