I have Fedora Core 6, I just downloaded it 2 days ago, from here:
http://fedora.redhat.com/Download/
So all I have to do is download
http://svit.epfl.ch/stuff/wl_apsta.o
and install it?

If the kernel is new, then you should use your BCM43xx normally.
However, with that firmware, the BCM43xx works better than with the native kernel driver.

So it is possible for me to setup my wireless card without downloading or installing anything?
Also I have WEP security enabled and MAC address filtering

Of course if your kernel is new enough:
This driver was included into the Linux kernel since 2.6.17-rc2.

Fedora Core 6 ships with the [WWW] 2.6.18 Linux kernel, and there are no longer separate kernels for multi-processor and single-processor architectures. A single kernel now automatically detects your processor.
