taxed on a tax!

So do we - petrol has duty on it, then VAT. Same with alcohol.
With regard to the road fund license the revenue it generates is negligable - it costs as much to administer as it raises.
This government has created a plethora of exorbitant taxes so it can move the entire dole queue into meaningless jobs in the public sector so they can claim to have full employment. We now have so many civil servants we are less productive than France.
They claim we have low inflation but their calculation excludes house prices, utilities and council tax (like you don't have to pay for those with real money).
They claim we have a growing economy but the 'growth' is actually Browns lavish spending of all the extra tax he's taken.
They have raided our pension funds to the point nobody will now take out a pension.
They have enormous amounts of hidden borrowing under PFI, which indepenedent economists have calculated will cost the British tax payer 7 times as much as if they'd borrowed the money in the conventional way. And it's all so the borrowing doesn't have to appear on their balance sheet and they can continue claiming to be 'prudent'.
The British tax payer will still be paying for Browns' incompetence long after he's pushing up the daisies.
We have a Scottish parliament (which went ten times over budget) that can award the Scottish population anything their heart desires and the English have to pay for it. Even so, Scottish MPs still have the right to vote on issues that only pertain to England and Wales.
And if all that's not bad enough they have murdered thousands of Iraqis.
This country is completely f****d.
