Latest update, link in first post.

Funny bug though..Sometimes SetActiveWindow(#Window) works, sometimes it doesn't. Weird. Anyway, here are the changes.

Fixed: Not all balloon tool tips worked.
Added: Setup screen for important options
Added: Balloon tool tips can be turned on and off, changes saved to ini file.
Added: Monitor dir can be changed, saved to ini file.
Added: Port number can be changed, saved to ini file.
Added: Option to auto start the registration listen server at program start.
Added: Option to start the registration monitor at program start.
Added: Option to auto-import registration files.

All choices are saved to ini file when form save button is closed and at program end.

In the absence of any feedback, I have been playing and adding things that I wanted. link in first post.

Added: Minimise to system tray area with tooltip and icon.
Added: Fading windows in and out.
Added: Change your own encryption key (saves to ini file)
Added: Fading and encryption keys added to setup screen.

I'll add changeable fade delays tomorrow.

Can't download any of the files, can you please reupload them.

Don't you people ever check post dates??? My last post was back in February 13'th, 2007, nearly 18 months ago!!!

The project was dropped to due to a complete lack of interest, including my own.

All of my software was removed from these forums and PureArea (and a few other places) as it became too hard to maintain multiple sites and download areas and constantly update them. Everything I have that is still current is on my family's web pages now.

However, you'd be better off having a look at MREG, it's the most professional system of this sort that I have seen in a long while. I believe that he has covered everything that I have ever thought of and everything I didn't .

And yes, i personally checked the post dates. You are right. The posts are almost 18 months ago but i think this is not necessarily means that they are already inactive or deleted.

I realize this is a very old post. But am curious if anyone is still using the MReg System. I have found it, downloaded and installed. I can't get it working even on my own server nor locally for that matter. And it would appear the author is no longer around as the sites and servers are gone. I have opened it up to see how it looks and even viewed some youtube vids on it. Looks great. I wanted to play around with it and see how it works and see if I could incorporate it someday into any of my programs.

Yes I understand the whole if you go out of business then the software is useless. Doesn't mean I can't give something a try and see how it works. Maybe even give it a shot to replicate it for my own needs.

As for the original poster here on this topic my question is have you ever thought about finishing your project? Or maybe posting the links to the source you had up to that certain point for others to run with it maybe? Or the last source you had before you stopped working on it?

Just a thought. Sorry for bringing up a dead horse if that is what this is now. I'm a new owner of PureBasic and am trying to learn everything I can. I've done the 'ole DOS basic back in the day along with Tandy's old version of basic also back in the day. Dabbled with VB v5. But my passion is making programs for my BBS software which is a version of basic. To this day I'm coding in that whether for my own use or even distributing (Yes despite what some thing BBS's aren't completely dead).

No. MREG surpassed anything I could do at that time and I had no use for this project anyway.

Or maybe posting the links to the source you had up to that certain point for others to run with it maybe? Or the last source you had before you stopped working on it?

The project was up years ago and generate maybe 3 interested people. I moved on to other projects that I needed at the time.

But my passion is making programs for my BBS software which is a version of basic. To this day I'm coding in that whether for my own use or even distributing (Yes despite what some thing BBS's aren't completely dead).

I ran a part time BBS when I was a young boy, it was a lot of fun and I am sad that most of that has been superseded by newer technology.

If you ask me nicely and promise not to give me any of srod's used sheep, nor repost KCC's eye searing images, I can email you the source. However, this project was last worked on in 2007 and that is a ton of compiler versions ago and will definately not work now!

And I can't help you as I am not an expert and currently engaged in settling my mother-in-law's estate and that takes all my time.

MReg does look like a great package. I do wonder if anyone is still using that as I have not been able to get it to run on my system.

I would love to take a look at the source code at minimum so if you would please be kind enough to shoot me an email with the source that would be awesome. Even if I can't do anything with it I should be able to learn from the source code. deanathpc at gmail . com is my current email.

I'm still new around here to I'm not sure about the srod and KCC comments just yet. I'm still reading though so I'll catch up.

No problem. I understand. I try to work my way through it. If nothing else it might inspire me to try something new and improved.

You might consider writing a system like Fred uses. He must encode the download to the PC downloading the file, because when I upgraded my laptop and copied files over, my PB downloads would not install--I had to re-download them.

That gets over the "registration required" annoyance, but also keeps people from sharing it.

Interesting. That is something new to me. Never heard of that type of thing before to be honest but I'm new to this so that would explain that.

It doesn't work like that at all. I just copied my Setup.exe file
to another PC and it installed without any problem. It's always
been like that. Obviously something was wrong or corrupt with
your Setup file.

Well, I assumed that was the way it worked, considering I tried both the 32-bit and the 64-bit, and since I copied over several gigs, and those were the only two files that failed. What was your OS? I'm on Win7.

Well finally got MReg to work on MY server! woohoo!! Now to play around with it... Just wished it used PostgreSQL instead of MySQL. Oh well.. not let's see what makes it tick.. lol And how to incorporate it into my stuff. Or determine that I don't want to. We shall see!
