As far as I know, yes. THe SDK gives you extra functions such as that (which I don't use personally)

The SDK that contains the DAPI dll and the documentation has been taken down (until its fixed) because of a problem with Vista. If you have it, could you PM it to me?

U3 sucks from these reasons:

- their support is lame
- their usb disk in networked computers fills the user allowed buffer and causes me errors on logout (in my college)
- it's hard to uninstall it
- it is not compitable sometimes on diffrent systems
- their software is not for free and mostly to make money

I just format my USB disk to U3 FREE and you?

But the cards at discount prices are good cheap portable dongles.

U3 is currently being heavily discounted, Play.com and others have 2GB cards in for about £13 or less.

Also SanDisk and Microsoft have just agreed to have it enhanced and then standardised. There will probabily be a Windows update for XP and Vista.

Actually, the way I read it was that the U3 platform is being replaced by something better from SanDisk and ms. I read a press release somewhere.

Since everyone has utterly hijaacked my original thread, I wanted to say that I will no longer develop the u3 version of my address book as there have been literally hundreds of downloads and no sales. And since SanDisk are superseding it, there is no longer any point.

I should convert my key to a standard device and put a decent menu on it.

I had an email from the U3 support (very quick btw) and they seem to imply that the sequel will be compatible.

I haven't heard from them yet. And their incompetent handling of two fake customers has left a very bad taste in my mouth so I will not be proceeding with them at any rate.
