For me, KDE is easier than Gnome and looks better, openSUSE is easier than Ubuntu

I have mostly distribution Test, openSUSE 10.2 is the best for me and my PC

Yeah Suse could be a little bit easier to configure, but I just love the debian under the Hood of Ubuntu, which also helps me to get on with our root server running Debian Sarge. Another important thing to me is the deal Novell did with Microsoft and the fact that I had some pritty bad experience with Suse some years ago. I think the biggist difference probably is that Suse is easier to configure for your Hardware but it's more difficult to install Software, so it comes with evrything prinstalled which makes it a little bit bloated. That's what I like about Debian/Ubuntu, it comes only with necessary stuff and you can install everything you need. That does have the disadvantage though that you have toknow or Read it up which applications you need, and makes it more difficult for beginners.

I use smart as paketmanager, so is not a big problem, but apt on debian is
the better paketmanager.

For example, my DVB-T Card doesn't run with the firmware in the internet for
this cards, it's one of the first production. Only with SuSE, i can create a
Firmware from the windows DLL that worked.
