I use FF2.0 and havn't ever been at Imageshack before today. I can't see any popups anywhere. I use adblock, adblock filterset, flashblock, noscript, remove it permanently as the most important add-ons. Even with JS allowed I didn't get popups.
dunno if this helps u, but that's how it is anyway.

eh yes if you got all that stuff installed. What i said: i shouldn't even NEED a f*cking thing
:/ just a little annoyed thats all. People, please try the
http://www.imgspot.com and see if its worth using.

He-he, you're right. Nothing should be needed but one big problem is that many free things on the net is payed by advertising.
I hate advertising but I love free stuff. That doesn't fit, well, huh. :roll:

sadly

However, there are good & bad advertising. The image-uploading place i just referred to has no popups and only family friendly, non-irritating ads.

Yep, in the fight to get customers to click, they forget that the service must stay usable.

For me, it's the easiest way to quickly host an image somewhere, without
needing to log in first (ie. PureStorage). It's quick and easy.

Personally, I never even knew of any popups until I saw this thread. Are you
saying that viewing this ->
http://www.purebasic.fr/english/viewtopic.php?t=24795
is causing popups on your PC when you view that image? Because I don't.
Firefox doesn't even mention that a popup was blocked, so I don't know.
Edit: I just tried with IE and now I see the popups. Too bad for IE.

Firefox (with AdBlock) has made my web browsing much less annoying.

No matter if people get popups or not; there are still ADS. The service i recommended has 0 ads for people looking at the images.
