I've written a few databases before in Access, and you'll find that with a bit of practice, it gets easier. What kind of a medical database are you thinking about writing, jmatienza? Unfortunately, I don't know anything about Alpha Five.

MS Access is a little bit difficult to get started with. But once you have insight in the general structure with tables, queries, forms/reports, and once you know how to use vba programming in Access you can do everything with it. And it saves you lots of work and troubles.

I know a lot about MS Access, if you have questions you can send me a mail. (I'm working extensively with MS Access for years now)

Thank you very much for your kind offers to help. I haven't decided to use Access yet, but I'll keep you guys in mind when I do!

We run our whole company on Alpha Five programs. I've been an Alpha developer since 1987. (yes that is correct 1987... boy I'm getting old) So if you have any questions....

I use PureBasic and CheetahDatabase for smaller utilites.
I'm just starting to use Flype's PostgreSQL Include file to try and build a Server/Client program.

Nice to see an experienced Alpha Five developer on this forum. I think you'll hear from me soon. Thanks for the kind offer. Have you created any browser-based database applications?

Since I only develop in-house, I haven't found a need. I do have the Web-Server edition, but it probably won't happen until I find a need.
