i have an include 'keyboardEdit.pbi' that i use for that.
it also allows cursor movement and multiline.
there's an example at the end (activate it at the CompilerIf)

there are two tables, Qwertz and Qwerty, but i'm using a german
keyboard, so don't know for shure if Qwerty is set correctly.
