Its okay. Really not a big deal. I dont mind people pointing stuff out its just when 90% of the thread becomes a debate about threading and multicore CPUs, etc, I just get annoyed since thats not the point of this thread.

Dracflamloc,
And of course, you are the utmost in professionalism.

I do my best to be but your "confused" smiley appears inappropriate.

Which word would you prefer to replace unprofessional?

I see a potential for confusion and..

I ignore it.
Unprofessional.

I beleive no one else could possibly understand.
Arrogant.

I think I'll let the confused fight on and not offer help anyway.
Sadistic.

I just don't care.
Apathetic.

I want others to be confused so they fail so I can be better than them.
Selfish.

I think I chose the right course.

Paul.

Not much to be confused about is my point. You may have lost faith in the human race to understand, but I believe they can figure things out on thier own just fine, and learn more in the process.

I said you can achieve something similar to threads with this code. If you disagree with that statement fine but don't go putting words in my mouth that aren't there.

No, but I know that many, including myself, can benefit more when a little help is offered on a new subject.
I know that it's easy for the less well informed to be misdirected by a careless statement which results in an unnecessary waste of their time.
I know that I appreciate a straight forward, no-confrontational, open discussion of topics where criticism is accepted and discussed and withdrawn, accepted or left for the reader to decide.
I know that no one knows it all so it's reasonable to accept that the point of view of others may be valid even if I disagree with it.

don't go putting words in my mouth that aren't there.
Which words? I believe all my quotes are genuine cut-and-paste quotes. If I have made an error, point it out and I'll apologise for mis-quoting you.

Paul.

I believe that teaching yourself, self-discovery and learning are much more effective tools. Too many people these days expect everything to be explained for them instead of figuring it out on their own. Now I don't expect people to come up with designs for a nuclear bomb on their own but surely they'll be able to learn the differences between a thread and something I said can be used SIMILARLY to threads.

Yeah, I know how it goes...

"OOP Syntax"
Instead of discussing the syntax some hijacked the thread to tell us how crappy even some oop in pb would be...

Sorry of being off topic
